The Central Alberta Martial Arts & Wellness Centre is a Non-Profit Society that has operated in Sylvan Lake for the past 10 years and in Rimbey for the past 3 years.  As a family oriented school, it provides the basis of self defense and personal protection while embodying the tenets of courtesy and respect.  A large part of this is providing students with self-defense tactics that develop their mental and spiritual facets while heightening their awareness to avoid dangerous situations before they even happen.  In other words, students receive a type of holistic training that focuses on the mind, body and spirit.

Mission Statement

Providing a holistic foundation of traditional martial arts, self defense and self improvement programs that provide "LIFE SKILLS", in order to build better people, families and communites.

Student Creed

I am a whole, perfect, positive and powerful human being.  Each day and in every way I commit to improving myself through Karatedo.

The quality of my life is based on the quality of my thoughts, actions and behaviours.

I rely on my awareness and intuition as my greatest source of self defense.

I will develop self discipline and practice courtesy, respect, compassion and gratitude in all areas of my life so that I can realize my full potential in life.

I never give up.  I have unlimited perserverance, strength and control.

Karatedo Creed

"I come to you with only Karatedo, Empty Hands.  I have no weapons, but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles, or my honor, should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, then here are my weapons, Karatedo, my Empty Hands."
